How To Apply
AnimSchool offers a full-powered, balanced education in 3D! Apply to AnimSchool to learn from the best working professionals online.
AnimSchool's mission is to be the premiere online school for the broader world of 3D animation.
We love characters! AnimSchool provides the very best characters for animation students to use. And we teach the very best modeling and rigging practices to make the most appealing 3D characters.
Applying to AnimSchool takes several steps. Here is what you should have ready to begin!
- Download the current AnimSchool catalog and review the contents. This is a detailed document covering how AnimSchool works and school policies.
- Decide which payment method you'll use. You can pay per term, per month, or using Easy Pay. For more details, see the
Tuition and Fees page.
- Decide which program you'd like to apply to!
- In the 3D Animation program, you learn how to animate at a feature film level. A limited amount of character-making skills are also taught.
- In the 3D Character Program, you learn how to make characters, from modeling to rigging. A limited amount of animation is also included. In later classes, students have a choice of classes, learning about advanced sculpting or more technical scripting and tools.
- No program. I just want to take an individual class, Express style.
- Write a one paragraph description of your goals in learning 3D at AnimSchool. We would like to admit those most committed to completing a program of study. You will be asked to paste your goal statement during the application process.
- Post your art online. If you have not made any 3D or 2D characters or animation yet, that is fine. In that case, post any of your drawings or visual arts abilities at a web file service such as http://www.mediafire.com, or other direct web location. Be prepared to post the link during the application process.
- The state requires that students sign an enrollment agreement. Review a sample
here. You will need to type your name at the bottom of the enrollment agreement. This is the digital equivalent of signing the agreement.
- You will need to agree to the AnimSchool.com website
Terms of Use Agreement.
- There is an application fee of $125. This is non-refundable after 3 days. You will need to pay that now to apply. Paying tuition does not have to be done now. Paying for your first term can be done when you want to sign up for a specific instance of a class (so long as it's before the cutoff date listed in the Academic Calendar). But be aware that individual classes may fill up (12 students).

Student Essay
Please add a short essay describing your inspirations for getting into the field of 3D animation, your level of motivation, and intention to complete the program of study. (Express students, can omit that last part.)
We recommended that to write it elsewhere and paste it into this field – because
